Drinking water well in Senegal

Senegal has been suffering from water stress for several years. The most remote villages are the hardest hit, with people having to travel several kilometres to get water. In Senegal, a single drinking water well can supply more than 300 people. This type of well requires no maintenance and lasts over time. Break Solidaire is targeting the poorest regions of the country to set up local wells. The villages most affected are currently being identified by our partners, who will let us know the exact locations once we have raised the sum needed to complete the project, i.e. €1,760 per well.
