The moi(s) solidaire

The moi(s) solidaire involves helping a person or family in need in France by providing them with a month's worth of groceries, including long-life products that will also be used in subsequent months. With inflation, the average monthly shopping basket is estimated at €150/person, or around €40 a week. This basket contains basic necessities such as pasta, rice, milk, oil, flour, tins of tinned food (tuna, sardines, maize, peas, etc.), lentils, sugar, coffee, tea and so on. The basket also contains fresh products that can be kept for more than a month, such as yoghurts, eggs, butter, cheese, frozen foods, etc. Exceptionally, and if necessary, it may contain essential hygiene products: soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

€150* to feed one person for a month

*You can give €150 to feed one person for a month, €40 for a week or make a free donation of the amount of your choice, which will be allocated to the project

Principle and selection of beneficiaries

Selection of beneficiaries

  • Break Solidaire identifies individuals and families in need (who have not received any assistance during the given period) with the help of social workers and associations faced with a surplus of requests for assistance.

  • Break Solidaire draws up a list of beneficiaries by priority (taking into account the social criteria in force and the urgency of the need)

  • Break Solidaire regularly checks the list of beneficiaries and updates it every 3 months in order to only serve people who are in urgent need of food during a given period.

  • Break Solidaire provides a beneficiary card enabling the person to take advantage of the solidarity offers agreed with its partners

  • Break Solidaire manages the list of beneficiaries according to a cycle that allows each beneficiary to receive a solidarity pass before another can receive a second one (if their situation does not change) and so on.

  • Break Solidaire does the shopping online for €150 from a supermarket partner and then has the parcel delivered to the beneficiary's home.

  • Break Solidaire sends the order to the beneficiary so that they can check the goods received and confirm that they have received their entire parcel

Distribution principle

DONATE TO THE MOIS SOLIDAIRE

When you make a donation to a Break Solidaire project, your donation is used solely for the project you wish to fund. The association takes 10% of your donation to cover administration costs. So 90% of your donation goes directly to the beneficiaries.

Good to know, Break Solidaire is an association of general interest, so 100% of your donation can be tax deductible up to 66% if you are an individual and 60% if you are a company. Break Solidaire issues a tax receipt for each of your donations.

Your generosity is essential if we are to help as many people in need as possible
